In this experiment, rats were injected with the vehicle or alcohol as described in Fig. 9, then injected with alcohol 7 days later. These data show that the ACTH and corticosterone response of animals previously exposed to alcohol was signiricantly (P< 0.01) decreased, compared to that of vehicle-injected rats.
